Spay/Neuter Surgery Cost and Qualifications

$25 per animal (dogs & cats) for low income individuals and families in Little Rock or Cabot.

The clinic is by appointment ONLY.

 

CARE's clinics are open to Little Rock and Cabot area residents only.

Low-income qualifications include annual individual income of less than $17,200, annual family income of less than $25,000 (proof: pay stub, tax return, etc. is required), or receiving government assistance (proof: SNAP benefits, Social Security, etc. is required).

 

Residency Requirements
Residency Requirements: Little Rock and Cabot Clinics are for residents within those city limits ONLY.  If you reside outside the city limits, click here to apply for a voucher that that can be used for a veterinarian in your area.

 

Surgery Information

Routine spay or neuter procedures are the only offered procedure.


Animals must be in good health; Surgery cannot be performed on a sick animal.

 

Pets must be at least 4 months old and 

dogs may not exceed 60 pounds

Vaccinations and Microchipping

If the pet is not currently vaccinated against rabies, this vaccination and a license will be given free of charge.

 

Annual vaccinations and microchipping are available at an additional cost.

 

Additional $10 for vaccines and $15 for microchipping

Don't meet the qualifications?  CARE can still assist you!  

CARE offers a discounted spay/neuter voucher for persons who need financial assistance for spay/neuter services, and cannot qualify for the Low-Cost Clinic. Voucher clients pay a donation from $25 to $60, depending on what they can afford, and CARE covers the remaining cost.  Vouchers can used at designated veterinary clinics, and appointments are scheduled by CARE.
